Ranging across departments, disciplines, and functions, we are proud to be a growing community. Among the new faces is Cristina Eisenberg, who joins the college as Associate Dean for Inclusive Excellence and Director of Tribal Initiatives. Other new faculty include experts in forest carbon cycle science, economics and policy dimensions of forest- based climate solutions, advanced wood manufacturing and composites and adhesion science.

Amy Riley, Director of Student Success
Amy has a clear passion for student success, depth of experience serving Ecampus and community college students, and a capacity for strategic leadership in the College. She earned a Master’s in Distance Education Leadership and is currently working towards an Ed.D. in Adult & Higher Education at OSU.
Jacob Bukoski, Assistant Professor, Forest Carbon Cycle Science
Jacob has a Ph.D. in Environmental Science, Policy and Management from the University of California, Berkeley and a M.S. in Environmental Science from the School of Forestry & Environmental Studies at Yale University. He is currently courtesy faculty in FES, and will begin his new appointment in January 2023.
Molly Siewell, Administrative Assistant to Associate Dean for Research
Molly is an OSU PHHS alumna and has a master’s in Academic Advising from Kansas State University. Molly is passionate about student success and helping folks be successful in their various roles across the university.
Allison Culver, Student Programs & Curriculum Coordinator, Wood Science and Engineering
Allison has a Master’s degree from OSU in College Student Services Administration with an area of specialization in Academic Advising. She brings great experience for this position and has worked for both OSU Alumni Association and OSU Foundation.
Suhyun Jung, Assistant Professor, Economics and Policy Dimensions of Forest-based climate solutions
Suhyun was previously an Assistant Professor at West Virginia University and has his Ph.D. in Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota. Suhyun joined the College of Forestry August 14, but is working remotely from West Virginia for a year.
Andres Susaeta, Assistant Professor in Natural Resource Economics
Andres joins us from the School of Forest, Fisheries, and Geomatics Sciences at the University of Florida. His research interests include natural resource economics and policy, uncertainty and risk, optimal control theory, wildlife economics, forest resource economics and management, dynamic optimization and nonmarket valuation.
Julia Lont, Assistant Art Director
Julia was a graphic designer for First Alternative Co-op for the last six years, and previously worked as a high school art teacher for Corvallis High School. She’s also a printmaking artist.
Islam Hafez, Assistant Professor of Composites and Adhesion Science
Islam is currently a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Maine and comes to us with a PhD in Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering from the University of Minnesota, an MS in Sustainable Bioproducts from Mississippi State, and a BS in Wood Science and Technology from Alexandria University in Egypt.
Tunde Jordan, FERM Office Specialist 2
Tunde has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s in education. She is has worked in office administration for a number of years and has a wealth of knowledge in the University and medical field settings.
Kayla Bordelon, Regional Extension Fire Specialist
Kayla is an environmental scientist whose previous work focused on the intersection of science communication, fire ecology, and equity in science learning. She recently completed a PhD in interdisciplinary Environmental Science at the University of Idaho.
Loren Albert, Assistant Professor, Forest Carbon Cycle Science
Loren joins us from her role as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at West Virginia University. She has her Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Arizona and was a Voss Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Institute at Brown for Environment & Society at Brown University.
Eric Dickey, Targeted Research Coordinator
Eric will join the Forestry Research Office on October 1. He comes to us with experience from the OSU College of Liberal Arts and most recently as the Research Development Manager at Western Oregon University.
